About the platform

My Fishing Crew is an independent platform built around a simple idea: to give every angler an easy way to log catches, record fishing trips, and follow their own progress through the season — alone or with friends.

The platform is built and maintained by a single fishing and software engineering enthusiast.

Business model

Currently free

The platform is currently free for all users. There are no subscriptions or hidden fees. Hosting and development costs are covered by the author personally. We are open to sponsorships and partnerships with companies in the fishing equipment and industry space — if interested, get in touch via the contact form.

Planned premium tier

In the future we plan to introduce an optional paid membership that will unlock advanced features — more detailed statistics, higher photo limits, priority support, and similar. The free tier will remain available to everyone.

The project does not have profit as its primary goal. In the future, advertising or sponsored content may be introduced in agreement with relevant companies, clearly labelled as such. Any revenue will be directed towards covering platform operating costs.

The platform uses Laravel (backend), Nuxt / Vue.js (frontend), MySQL database and AWS S3 for photo storage.
