Sessions & Catches
A session represents one fishing trip from start to end.
On the home page click the "Start session" button. Select a group, enter an optional name and location. The session stays open until you close it manually.
Inside an active session click Add catch and enter species, weight and optional photos.
When adding a catch you can attach one or more photos.
After closing the session, you nominate a crew member to confirm your catches. The nominated user gets a notification and can approve or reject each catch. Once confirmed, you (the session owner) finalize the session. This increases the credibility of results.
Open session details and click Close session.
Yes — solo mode lets you record sessions and catches without joining a group. During onboarding choose 'Continue solo'. Solo catches get 'Unconfirmed' status and are not subject to voting by other members.
Unconfirmed. Solo users have no crew to vote on their catches, so they stay unconfirmed. They still appear in your personal statistics.

Weather alerts are proactive notifications that tell you when fishing conditions are ideal. Set your preferred location, hour, and threshold in the 'Weather Alerts' section of your profile. The app checks conditions hourly and sends a notification when the score is high enough.
Fishing Buddy is a layer of smart contextual tips that appear at the right moment. It shows a weather hint before starting a session, a personalized toast after logging a catch (records, streaks), a subtle insight card on the dashboard, and a closed-season reminder when picking a species.
When adding a catch, you can upload a photo and click 'Identify species'. The AI system analyzes the photo and suggests up to 3 species with confidence scores. You can accept a suggestion or manually select the species.
Challenges & Trophy Wall
Challenges are goals for the current season — catch a certain number of fish, log sessions, reach the leaderboard, and more. Track progress on the Challenges page. Completing a challenge earns a badge.
Open the Challenges page from the main menu. Each challenge shows current progress and what is still needed to complete it.
The Trophy Wall is your group's hall of fame — it shows the biggest confirmed catch of each species ever recorded by a group member, along with the catch details and record holder.
Yes, challenges and badges work in solo mode too. The Trophy Wall is group-only — comparing records between members requires a group.
