Water Conditions — Real-Time Reports from Fellow Anglers
Know the water clarity, level and fishing conditions at your spot before you leave home — reported by anglers on the water.
Introducing Water Conditions
Imagine knowing the water clarity, level and fishing conditions at your spot before you even leave home. That's exactly what Water Conditions brings to My Fishing Crew.
How It Works
Anglers on the water report conditions with a single tap:
- 🔵 Clear — water is clean and transparent
- 🟤 Murky — water is cloudy or discoloured
- ⬆️ Rising — water level is noticeably increasing
- ✅ Ideal — conditions are perfect for fishing
Reports expire after 6 hours, so you always see current data — not yesterday's.
Confirmed by the Community
When 3 or more anglers report the same condition, the report gets a confirmation badge. At 5+ confirmations, you receive a push notification for locations you fish regularly.
When to Report
You can report at any time — tap the "Report conditions" button on any location page. The best moment is right after logging a catch, when you have the freshest first-hand information.
If you're in a hurry, choose "Remind me later" and we'll send you a notification when you're ready — in 30 minutes, an hour, or this evening. You decide.
River Discharge Data
In addition to angler reports, My Fishing Crew displays river discharge data from the Global Flood Awareness System (GloFAS), processed by Open-Meteo. This gives you an objective view of water levels based on satellite and weather data worldwide.
