Getting Started with My Fishing Crew — Complete Guide

Welcome to My Fishing Crew

My Fishing Crew is a fishing community app that helps you log catches, track sessions, compete with your crew, and discover the best fishing spots. This guide will walk you through everything from registration to your first catch.

Step 1 — Create Your Account

Registration takes less than a minute. Head to the Register page, enter your name, email and a password. You will receive a verification email — click the link to activate your account. Without verification, you cannot log in.

Step 2 — Join a Group or Go Solo

After your first login, the onboarding guide will ask how you want to fish:

• Create a group — you become the owner and can invite others
• Find a public group — search and send a join request
• Wait for an invite — your crew sends you an invite link
• Continue solo — log catches independently without a group

Solo mode is perfect if you fish alone or want to try the app before joining a crew. Solo catches are tracked in your personal statistics but don't appear on the group leaderboard.

Step 3 — Start a Session

Before heading out, open a new session in the app. Tap "Start session" on the home screen, select your group (or solo), add a location and an optional session name. The session stays open until you close it — all catches you log are linked to it.

Step 4 — Log Your Catches

While the session is open, tap "Add catch" for every fish you land. Select the species, enter the weight, add a photo and save. The AI can suggest the species from your photo — just tap "Identify species" after uploading.

Step 5 — Confirm with Your Crew

When you're done fishing, close the session and nominate a crew member to confirm your catches. They will receive a notification and can approve or reject each catch. Once confirmed, you finalize the session and the catches count toward the leaderboard.

Step 6 — Explore the App

• Leaderboard — see who caught the most this season
• Trophy Wall — your group's biggest catches per species
• Challenges — seasonal goals with badges as rewards
• Species Guide — learn about the fish in your area
• Fishing Locations — discover spots and water conditions
