T&A Fish Taxidermy was born in 1998. It was then that I began the attempt to teach myself this art. It went very slowly, and along the way, I ruined some of my own trophy fish. But lessons were learned, and after some time it was determined that I needed some formal education. In late 2002, I traveled to Pennsylvania to be taught by Gary Bruch, Jr., the 2005 World Champion fish taxidermist. The biggest lesson learned was that the fish is your teacher, not another person, nor their interpretation as reflected in their mounts.
