I have over 25 years experience as a taxidermist. During this time I have competed and have won numerous awards. I find that many taxidermists only do their best work for competitions and not for their clients. My belief is that the client should always get my best, and that is why I only use the best materials and the latest techniques in all of my mounts. The more detail in a mount the more realism it brings to the final product. At Prentis Taxidermy, I take pride in the fact that I put the extra detail into all of my work, whether it is your child's first fish, or the new state record.

In addition to books and video instruction, he became a graduate of the Northwestern School of Taxidermy, the Missoula Valley School of Taxidermy, as well as receiving intensive one on one training with some of the country's finest fish taxidermists. David also worked fulltime at Alabama River Pulp Mill to support his wife Carol and their three sons Allen, Steve, and Michael. In April of 2004 David retired and began working fulltime in his studio. And also helped Michael establish a second Coles Taxidermy, a 575 sq. ft. studio in Milton, Florida. David, and Steve handle the work in Alabama while Michael handles the work from Florida. Their turn around time on most mounts is 3 to 4 months. They each enjoy different areas of taxidermy David and Steve both specialize in the whitetail deer and other fur bearing mammals. Michael puts his interest in fish painting and whitetail deer.

Although a standard flying mount can make any hunter proud of their harvest, please allow me to reproduce a scene fitting of the surroundings of that special hunt. Before allowing another taxidermist to mount your waterfowl, take it to someone who spends time in the field watching birds in their natural habitat. Although I do specialize in waterfowl or game birds, I also mount small game and fish if time allows.

My name is Doug Scheibling owner/operator of Doug's Taxidermy located in Wallkill New York. My goal as a taxidermist is to provide a quality mount with a reasonable turnaround time. I use all up-to-date materials on all my mounts. Every hide that comes through my shop goes through a tanning process(commercial or in house, depending on the type of mount)to ensure a long lasting mount. My name is Doug Scheibling owner/operator of Doug's Taxidermy located in Wallkill New York. My goal as a taxidermist is to provide a quality mount with a reasonable turnaround time. I use all up-to-date materials on all my mounts. Every hide that comes through my shop goes through a tanning process(commercial or in house, depending on the type of mount)to ensure a long lasting mount. As most taxidermists, my taxidermy started out as a hobby and turned into a part-time business. Over the last couple of years I have mounted all types of North American game. As well as some exotics. Each hide is professionally tanned and a leather hide is mounted on the best forms, and best materials available. My mounts will look as good in 20 years as they do the day they leave my shop.
