What guns would be good for huntin white tail deer

many guns work. If you are looking for a long range shot I'd use a 30'06, .243, .270, 7mm, or a .308 with a bolt action. If you are looking to shoot a deer at fairly short ranges in the woods, I'd use a 30-30, or a 12, 16, or 20 gauge shotgun with a slug (don't use buckshot, it wounds many deer each season), or a but, know that even rifled 12 ga slugs aren't good past around 60 yards. The old 35 caliber guns were great for woodland hunting, but they don't make bullets for them anymore. If are looking for distance and accuracy then use a spire pointed bullet. If you are looking for a bullet that deflects bullets the best, then use a round tipped bullet.
