Find a safe place to target practice and spend a few hours honing your skills. You'll find that it doesn't take long at all to become an accomplished crossbow shooter.
Be sure to check local laws to find out what the regulations are for crossbow hunting in your area - some states are fairly strict about their use. Some animals can only be taken in "season," while many nuisance creatures can be taken anytime. You may need to obtain a license as well, depending on the animals you are hunting. If you are fortunate enough to have a farm, ranch, or large acreage to hunt on, you may not need a license.

I don't think there's any danger. But is this a proper gun ? Does it have enough power ? Of course it depends on what game you go after. But I don't think it can take down the big ones. Anyway I am not a professional hunter, but this is my opinion, hope it helps.
