I'm new at this and I have read alot of different tips and techniques. I like the thought of calling them in by hand its more of a interaction with the hunter and the prey. But I need to know what I'm doing wrong. How Long should I call for? Using a rabbit n distress. How long should I sit in one spot? I have been out quite a few times and I am starting to get pretty discouraged. Is their any advice on tips how to set up. Camo? I have always thought that a ghillie suit would be the best camoflauge for coyotes an turkeys alike they both have very good eyesight.. Any an all advice would be very helpful!!
Thanks

ok first off right now it can be very difficult to call in a coyote it is breeding season but close to the end so they are having there pups right now so its not likley that your going to call in a female coyote they are tending to there pups so i would say buy a coyote howler a very easy howler to use is the lead dog by knight and hale and use forms of howls such as greeting, invitation, and challenge and try hurt pups and as a last resort use your rabbit call as far as camo i personally wouldnt use a ghillie suit just wear enough camo to cover your body hands and face just make as little movement as possible i usually stay at a stand for about 25 minutes unless i am getting a response but in summer to late fall i only stay at a stand for about 15 minutes i also am very discouraged with hunting right now in august they were coming to any sound but coyote hunting will pick up around late march hope this helps

www.CoyoteHuntingInfo.com - in case you didn't already visit this site. Anyway there are other guys in here with more coyote hunting experience, so hopefully you'll get their answers as well.
