On the Board of Fisheries' agenda Monday was whether there should be a cap on how many fish Alaskans can take home.
After some discussion, the consensus was:
"No, don't place any restrictions on the number of fish sport fishers can harvest."
More than a hundred people showed up for public testimony over the weekend. The Board of Fisheries meets every three years.
"This will affect your ability to go fishing, both in commercial fisheries, sport fisheries and personal use fisheries. And it's good to see all user groups are well represented here," said Ricky Gease of the Kenai River Sport Fishing Association.
The board will meet throughout the week and is expected to make a decision on more than 250 proposals by the end of the week
